ISB Greetings
Dear APAC Athletes & Coaches:
Dear APAC Athletes & Coaches:
Welcome to the first APAC event of a new school year. This is not only the first APAC of this year, but also the first tournament since APAC has expanded and welcomed new member schools to the organization. The 2008 APAC Boys Volleyball Tournament will be the organizations first "Super Tournament" as 12 boys teams gather to compete in the same location! As a participant in this tournament, you are part of making APAC history! This will unquestionably be a special event.
The ISB Community welcomes you all to Beijing and to the campus of ISB! We are excited about being your host and trust that this will be a memorable experience for all involved. Please make yourselves at home.
This tournament promises to be a great opportunity to test yourselves on the competitive stage. This weekend you will surely be reunited with old acquaintances and hopefully establish new friendships. Best of luck, both on and off the court of play! Make this an experience worth remembering!
Dirk Kraetzer, Asst. Director of Student Activities
As we’re on the eve of the first ever All-APAC event for our new membership, I want to welcome all of you to ISB! ISB has a long and proud tradition of sports and activities with the APAC conference, and we are most happy to be hosting this year’s boys volleyball tournament. We hope you will find the officiating, the organization, the play, and the hospitality meets your high standards.
We also hope that you will take this opportunity to build lasting relationships with students, coaches and parents from other schools across the region. Our international school sub-culture is quite small, and our paths cross regularly, so the athletes or coaches you play against today may be on your team in the future!

I want to extend a special thanks to our Director of Student Activities, Mr. Jeff Johanson, for his leadership of the athletics program here at ISB and for his hard work in organizing this tournament with his highly competent staff. Have a great time at the tournament!

Welcome to ISB, to Beijing, and to the 2008 All-APAC Volleyball Championships!
I truly hope that your time here, on and off the courts, will be very special. May we all come away from the tournament, win or lose, with new friends and a further appreciation of APAC.
APAC has just gone through a tremendous period of growth as an organization—doubling in size, and welcoming in six new international schools to our conference's proud tradition. Each year, we will conduct two All-APAC tournaments in one particular sport, giving all member schools, old and new, the opportunity to come together in the spirit of sport—preserving traditional APAC friendships, and ensuring new ones are made.
May our sport be memorable and rewarding for the few days of this tournament; may the relationships and friendship made live on after the trophies are presented.
All good wishes,
Jeff Johanson, Director of Student Activities
